9 shows, 1 party
Off Schedule was created because it was about time there was a fashion event which was as progressive as a lot of fashion is. The event combines nine fashion shows and a party. It’s a platform for a new generation of autonomous, progressive designers. Designers who do progressive cuts and styles and are on the lookout for new ways to present their collections. Off Schedule provides a stage for truly cross-disciplinary presentation, where catwalk, dance, performance and installation meet.
The designers at Off Schedule can be club and street inspired or academically oriented, but Off Schedule is never about abstract, conceptual or non-wearable fashion, however interesting that might be. It is a platform for designers with an eye for tomorrow and a passion for wearable fashion.
Off Schedule is a biannual event and kicks off the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. The event’s third edition will take place on January the 19th 2008. Off Schedule was initiated by CODE magazine and is organised by the Urban Arts Foundation.
